PHP Tutorial

Does the term PHP or to call it by its full name Hypertext Preprocessor which is a computer scripting language scare the hell out of you. I know until recently it did to me. When I decided that I needed to know more about PHP I went to Wikipedia and read up on it. It took me about 1 minute to realise that this was not for me.

So I went on a search to find someone who would have the knowledge that I needed to ensure my online business was running at maximum output. I decided that if I could not find anyone that I could trust to complete my work properly then I would have to bite the bulled and learn PHP.

I needed such scripts that would help me with my joint venture (JV) partners, tracking my sales pages plus much more. My search took me to various sites where you submitted your job spec and people would get back to you with a price. I was let down numerous times using this method.

I joined a forum where I found a person who not only wrote the scripts that I needed plus they came with the relevant PHP tutorial so I could easily follow how to install the scripts. Plus and this was a great revelation they were so easily affordable!

If you are looking for different script at affordable prices with easy to follow tutorials then what are you waiting for…

A 10 Step Recipe to Great Sales Copy (Part1)

Your sales copy is by far the most important ingredient of your website/blog. If you walk into a shop/store then you will be greeted by a salesperson that will be able to sell you on the benefits of any product. In the online world you have to get these benefits over to the potential customer by other means.

You have to achieve this using the words on your sales page to make them feel welcome and convey your message to them. It is absolutely paramount that you get your message across in a way that will entice them to take you up on your offer.

Here are the first 5 steps to a recipe that you should use to help you achieve your aim of turning a customer into an avid buyer.

1: Your Unique Selling Proposition (USP)  Simple and self explanatory what makes your product stand out from the crowd. For example; Give a cast iron guarantee that if the customer is not happy with the product then give them a refund. No arguments! Word will soon get around that your word/guarantee is sound. Believe me you do not want bad publicity as word will soon spread amongst the forums. Give this some serious though! Do not forget to emphasise your USP within your sales copy.

2: Speaks the Same Language as your target audience  Remember your niche/business will be full of people who speak in terms relevant to their needs.  For example; people who work in medicine will not talk the same way as say people who have an interest in fishing. Get to know inside out the way people express themselves within their niche/business.

3: A headline that makes them take notice. People who surf are only going to look at your site for a few seconds so the headline will either keep them on your page or they will hit the back button. So tell them how you can help them.

4: Proof and Social Proof. Firstly proof. You must show people that you know what you are talking about by proving that you are an expert in your chosen field.  This can be helped by social proof in that you have customer testimonials in your sales copy so that the potential customer can see you know your business and are trusted by other online marketers. It is a proven fact that customer testimonials can add as much as 200% to your bottom line.

5: Benefits, benefits, benefits!  In short you must leave the buyer in no doubt as to how he/she will benefits from purchasing your product. If this is not clear to them you will not make the sale. The difference between a feature and a benefit is: A feature will tell them what the product can do. A benefit is how your product will help them to overcome a problem or solution. It’s important that you make the distinction when your write your sales copy.

We will look at the last 5 steps in the next article…

Using an opt-in List to Build Your Business

Before revealing the secrets of the trades, here are myths and fallacies that need to be cleared before one indulges into building an opt-in list. These marketing misconceptions could pose so much of an obstacle towards your profiting well from your business. Not a lot of people use email Email marketing is one of the most effective marketing methods nowadays simply because virtually almost all people use email.Check on those email fields or blanks required to be filled up on various forms needed in processing different transactions. A person without an email address is tantamount to a person without an online home, which is one big shameful truth for this generation.Email marketing campaigns can offend a lot of people The not-so secret way to surmount this dilemma is through permission-based advertising. There’s no harm in trying after asking for permission. It’s stupid to send email to all the people The key to this predicament is to have a very discerning eye on who to email and who to not email. Better look for some metrics on how to know which group of people would give you high ROI or return on investment. The Real Deal with Building Opt-in List After clearing the fog regarding email marketing myths, here’s how one can benefit from employing the power of email marketing campaigns - building an opt-in list. However, building an opt-in list is not a piece of cake particularly for the uninitiated. Here is a rundown of tips on how to succeed in this kind of marketing endeavour. 1. Strategic Collection of DataKnow which information from your audiences will help you in lowering expenses and/or make sales flourish. Devise a tactic to make people voluntarily provide you with the information necessary to create higher conversion. Overload of data is not good. Ask only for opt-in, with their full name and email addresses. Make sure that the profiles that you gather are updated to aid in improving the relevance, timeliness and satisfaction from each deal you make.2. Good Implementation Old adage says it all - ‘action speaks louder than words’. This easily translates to the difficulty one has to undergo during the execution of his or her email marketing efforts. It’s a good thing that various methods, often low-cost, abound to hasten and facilitate the building up of one’s opt-in database. Tracking your email marketing results can pose great hardship, too. Technology and relevant sources should be employed in making this aspect of your marketing a lot manageable. Your high traffic groups of opt-ins with the greatest result should be taken noted of.  The following are the most widely used methods to leverage channels without overspending:

1. Make use of websites. It is an excellent tool for data collation and providing you with relevant info regarding your email offers. Use forms that solicit your visitor’s email address and consent.

.<>
.<>2. Make use of print ads, brochures, TV, radio and direct mail. These are the more popular ways of marketing aiming to lead traffic to one’s site. You may want to ask for signups for email services. Make your website more visible through these media. Offering free electronic newsletters and or rewards program can do well in making it easy to win the nod of your audiences, too.

<>
<>3. Maximize your sales force. Customer service associates can help a lot in making you benefit more from your email correspondence. Sales people with proper education on how to aid you in this endeavour can very well contribute to higher ROI. Techniques like offering account updates and special programs through email can easily land you those lists of valuable visitors.
<>
<>4. Don’t make your point of sale pointless. Forms for signup located at cash registers and other high-traffic and highly visible spots can be very excellent venues for your business to collect email addresses. Notification of upcoming sales through their email addresses and names can coax them to supply you with the information you need.
5. Conferences or trade shows can work, too. Giveaway offers or entries on sweepstakes are great for opt-in to volunteer their contact details. These tactics should be applied with adequate caution and should focus on earning the trust of your opt-in list instead of simply collating data for your sole own benefit. Always make sure that the forms that you will use and other methods that you will employ will not necessitate too much fuss to subscribe. This is for people to not be annoyed during the process of data supplication.  With that bunch of information, who can ever go wrong with the feat of building an opt-in list?http://www.handholdingmarketing.com

FTA Newbies

This article is for the attention of (fta) newbies who are finding their feet in the Internet World. Please do not take this article the wrong way as I was once classed as a “newbie on the net” I have now been online for just under 3 years and I am still learning.

There are so many different components to running a business online that we just have to sometimes get the basics and take action. I was listening in to an online seminar recently where one of the speakers a blogging expert called Mike Paetzold spoke about doing just that!

He said the three tools that you need to start a business are:

  1. A good autoresponder to build your list
  2. A reliable hosting company to host your domain name
  3. A method to track where your traffic is coming from so that you are targeting your best traffic conversation article blogs etc.

AWEBER for me is the best autoresponder tool our there. The owner is always making sure that you emails get through to your subscribers. He talks to people to ensure you do not get into trouble for spamming etc.

HOSTGATOR is a company that has all the right people in place to ensure that your website uptime is excellent and it has a 24/7 live customer service that will sort out your problems ASAP!

HITS CONNECT has so many features to enable you track your customers from when they click on your site right through to the Thank You page after the purchase. You can test and track different sales pages to get the best one.

The reason I have mentioned the above tools are simply I use them to build and grow my business each and every day. I have tried other tools, however through trial, error and a lot of money I have found the one’s above are in my opinion the best to help me make money online.

They have good customer service which is a must for any newbie or seasoned online business builder. Just click on the links above and have a look at their websites; you will see that they are serious about helping you build your business.

I will be looking at other tools that will help the newbie in growing their business without spending too much money. Just add my site to your favorite’s list and keep visiting.

Three Ways to Get Traffic to Your Blog

Writing a blog is a great way to make money and it’s agreat way to build your list too. You can also sell yourown products and/or sell affiliate products from your blog. However, for any of these things to actually work, you first need to get traffic to your blog. Three ways to drive traffic to your blog are to write articles, digg your blog, and post on forums.

The first way to drive traffic to your blog is to write articles. The best place to submit articles is ezinearticles.com. This site is also the strictest so make sure you follow all their rules. It will take just a few days to get your article approved but once you get 10 or more articles live on the site you’ll become a “platinum”member and then your articles should get accepted in about a day or so. What you want to do is write articles that are related to your blog’s information. Then put a link to your blog in the signature box below the article.

The next way to get more readers to your blog is to digg it. This means that you submit each blog you write to

digg.com. This is a very easy process. It takes you about 30 seconds to sign-up. Then you complete the sign-up process by checking your email and clicking the link that digg sends you. Then all you need to do is click on “Submit New” at the top of the page. Then plug in the url to the individual blog post and then you’re all set.

The third way to drive more traffic to your blog is by participating in forums that are related to your blog. Now, there are a couple of different ways to promote your blog on these forums. The first way is to put a link to your blog in your signature. That way the link to your blog appears every single time you make a post. The second way to use forums to your blog is to read the posts and find an interesting topic or question. Then go back and write a post about that topic, then return to the forum and post a reply that you covered this exact topic on your blog. Then refer them to the link in your sig. or post the direct link in the reply.

These are just three of the ways to drive traffic to your blog. However you must insure that your blog is set up correctly so that it will attract the search engines that ultimately bring the traffic to your blog. I have bought a couple of products from Mike Paetzold, who for those that do not know him is in my opinion one of the leading experts on blogging!

For example I purchased his “7 tips to make your Wordpress Blog Search Engine Friendly” As a direct result taking action the traffic sent to this blog increased dramatically thus increasing my chances of making a sale.

Why not take a look at his site the link is on the right hand side of this blog.
