Four Key Points for Writing a Sales Letter

If you have a product or a service to sell then you need a sales
letter. Your sales letter is the most important tool for making
money. If you have a great sales letter than people will pay you
money to get their hands on whatever you’re offering. If you have a
bad sales letter, people are going to click off of your site and
never return. That’s why it’s so important to write a great sales
letter.

The best sales letter writers have been practicing their craft for
years. They have a lot of experience. They also have a lot of
knowledge. Now, obviously the only way to gain experience is for
you to actually sit down and write a lot of sales letter. And the
knowledge part of sales letter literally takes dozens (if not
hundreds) of books and articles in order to gain all the knowledge
you need. However, there are four keys for writing a great sales
letter.

The first key to writing a great sales letter is putting your best
benefit in the headline of the sales letter. Don’t tell the person
what the product or service does. Tell them what it will do for
that person. Will it make them pain free? Will it make them richer?
Will it make them successful? Whatever the main benefit is, make
sure you put it in the headline of the sales letter.

The second key for writing a great sales letter is to make your
writing reader friendly. This means you write in language that’s
easy to understand. It also means you keep your paragraphs short
and you keep a nice flow to your writing. Reading a sales letter
should not be an ordeal for anyone.

The third key to a great sales letter is called “the slippery
slope”. This simply means that you want to hook your reader right
at the beginning of the sales letter. Then you want to keep them
sliding right down the slide you’ve built until they click the “Buy
Now” button at the end of the letter.

Finally, the last of the four keys to writing a great sales letter
is to actually ask the reader to buy your product or service.
Surprisingly this is often overlooked. Too many sales letter
writers forget to ask the reader to hit the “Buy Now” button. So
don’t you forget to ask for the purchase from the prospective
buyer. It could make all the difference between making a sale or
not making a sale.

Writing a good sales letter is not an easy task. It usually takes
people years to get good at it. However, there are some things you
can do right away to make your own sales letters better. These four
keys for writing a great sales letter are putting the best benefit
in the headline, writing an entertaining and easy to read letter,
creating a “slippery slope”, and actually asking the reader to buy
from you.

Five Tips to Make Your Blog Better

If you have a blog or are planning on beginning one soon, then you
obviously want it to do as well as possible. It should go without
saying that you need to update your blog regularly – at least three
or four times a week. However, there are a handful of other things
you should do as well. Five tips to make your blog better are
writing articles, submitting your blog to digg.com and similar
sites, pinging your blog, including the link to your blog in your
signature on forums, and including the link on social networking
sites.

One of the best ways to promote your blog is by writing articles
about the topic and submitting the articles to article sites such
as ezinearticles.com or goarticles.com. You can even just cut and
paste an actual blog and submit it to your blog. Just put a link to
one of your blogs in the signature box below the article.

The second tip to make your blog better is to visit dig.com and add
the URL to the site. This will draw in more visitors and will get
you a ton of hits if your blog post is good enough to be selected
as one of the feature stories. There are other sites like digg.com
that you can visit as well.

Every time you post a new blog, you should ping your blog. There
are many great services on the Web that will ping your blog. All
you have to do is enter the URL and the service will do the rest of
the work.

The fourth of the five tips to make your blog better is to belong
to forums that are in the same niche as your blog. Then make good
posts on the forum and include a link to your blog in your
signature on the blog.

Finally, the last tip to make your blog better is to create
profiles on a number of social networking sites and then include
links to your blog. This will allow even more people to see your
blog. Some of the best social networking sites are MySpace,
FaceBook, and Squidoo.

Too often people create a good blog but they don’t do a few easy
things that will make their blog more popular. Five tips to make
your blog better are writing articles, submitting the blog to
dig.com and similar sites, pinging your blog, including the link in
your signature on forums, and including the link on social
networking sites.

Newbie Internet Marketing Techniques

The internet has changed the world and the way we think. This has resulted in internet marketing or e-marketing coming to the fore. Here are a number of techniques that will assist you in attaining better results.

At the top of the pile is to attract your clients using a good webpage with a professional look and feel. Remember your webpage is the medium which you speak to your potential clients, so it must be user friendly and show off your business and talents to the max. Nothing puts off clients more than a website full of fluff and no substance. Always track everything as this will ensure you know exactly where your traffic is coming from, thus pushing your traffic plan in the right direction.

If you decide to use link building as part of your traffic plan then ensure the links are relevant to your site. Try for one way links back to your site these are the best. If you feel you want to use reciprocal linking them make sure it is to sites that do not compete for the exact same market as you.

If your business is a passion then get out there and become a known expert in your field this will help you establish you and people will sign up for your newsletter ezines etc. If you use articles make sure they are relevant and informative. If you have the money then a press release will definitely help you in pushing forward your traffic plan.

Three Internet Marketing Business Tips

Whilst there is plenty of people online trying to hit the rich seam unfortunately many people do not make it. The reason why this happens can be one of many reasons. You must apply yourself to your business, so I have listed 3 tips that I believe will help you to be of the people that succeeds.

Do what is Best for Your Business!
You prime focus should be to do what ever is necessary to push your business forward. Sometimes people forget this and let personal feeling get in the way. Always have a positive attitude towards the business leave all negative feelings behind you. These will only debilitate you and your business

 Focus on Customers Service!
This is in my eyes the most important aspect of your business and one that a lot of business owners forget. Remember a happy customer is repeat buyer. Plus they will tell there friends about your excellent service and thus increase your customer base without you spending a penny on advertising. If your customer service sucks you will lose that customer plus let us not forget they WILL tell other people.

 Have a Plan!
To many business people just do not think about how they plan to run their business. Remember the old saying If you “Fail to Plan” you will “Plan to Fail” Set yourself goals it can be daily/weekly/monthly as long as you set your plan in motion and carry it out, you will succeed.

So remember if you want to have a successful Internet Business then by implementing these three Tips then you are on the road to having a successful business.

Article Writing Made Easy

Writing articles is a great way to establish yourself as an expert
in a particular niche. It’s also a great way to get more traffic to
your site while also creating back links to your site. But many
people have trouble writing articles. Well, here’s article writing
made easy.

Obviously the first thing you need to do is decide on a topic to
write about. Often the topic can make or break an article. Not only
do you want the topic to be interesting but you also want the topic
to be broad enough to provide good information but specific enough
so that you don’t try to tackle too much information in one article.

Once you have a topic in mind, the next thing you need to do in
order to write the article is to decide what you want to say. A
good rule of thumb is to always have three things you want to say
or teach. This is based on the three prong thesis, which you might
remember from your school days. Once you have your topic and your
three things you want to say then you’re ready to begin writing
your article.

Article writing made easy requires you to have an introduction
paragraph, a paragraph for each thing you want to say (three
total), and a conclusion paragraph. So you’re article will usually
be 5 paragraphs in all.

In the introduction you will begin with a broad statement about the
topic of the article. If possible you want to have a hook –
something that will bring the reader in and cause him/her to keep
reading. Then you want to follow-up on the first sentence. Next you
tell the reader what they’re going to read about. You can include
the 3 things you will tell them in the last sentence of the
introduction.

The body of your article will include a paragraph for each thing
you’re telling them. It’s just that easy to write the main part of
the article. Just follow the three pieces of information and write
about each of them in 3-6 sentences.

The conclusion will just sum-up the entire article. Remind the
reader about what they’ve just read. And then you’ll be finished
writing your article.

Now you see how article writing can be made easy. The most work is
deciding on a suitable topic and then choosing three quality pieces
of information you want to include. Once you do that – and as long
as you do it well – then the article will pretty much write itself.

It is important the right from the start you understand that there is more than one way to make money online. A 10 Step Recipe to Get Great Sales Copy (Part 2)

…To carry on from where we left off let us look at the remaining points we should consider when writing our sales copy…
6: An iron-clad 100% guarantee Everyone these days is looking for the scam because they have all been burnt by someone either online/offline. So they look suspiciously at any advertizing!   Offering a 100%, no-hassles, no-questions-asked, money-back guarantee, will help you in overcoming their doubt and go someway to calming their suspicions.

7: Offer a Free bonus  By offering a free bonus it greatly enhances the value of your product and your customer will believe they are getting great value for their money. Plus you could find your sales doubling or even tripling. Just remember the following points, make sure the bonus gives your target market great value and always ensure it is related to the product/service that your are selling.

8: Create a sense of urgency  By creating this sense of urgency your customer is more likely to buy if he/she feels the offer has a certain time limit before it is closed. For example use a count down script so the customer can clearly see the offer will be taken down.

9: A strong call to action to get them to  BUY  The first thing your customer will see on your website is your heading. So make sure it grab’s there immediate attention. When you have that attention kept is by using the previous elements we have mention earlier. Make sure you leave your customer with no question unanswered or they will just hit the back button. Always have your buy now button strategically placed throughout your sales letter. So that the customer sees’s this call to action button time and time again. Keep asking for their order!!!

10: Always give them your contact information  Always have different ways on your site that the customer can contact you if for example they have a question or questions before they commit to the sale.  I know this sounds obvious however I have seen so many people for this very important element.
So to conclude follow these 10 steps and you will be well on your way to writing that cash making sales letter.

PHP Tutorial

Does the term PHP or to call it by its full name Hypertext Preprocessor which is a computer scripting language scare the hell out of you. I know until recently it did to me. When I decided that I needed to know more about PHP I went to Wikipedia and read up on it. It took me about 1 minute to realise that this was not for me.

So I went on a search to find someone who would have the knowledge that I needed to ensure my online business was running at maximum output. I decided that if I could not find anyone that I could trust to complete my work properly then I would have to bite the bulled and learn PHP.

I needed such scripts that would help me with my joint venture (JV) partners, tracking my sales pages plus much more. My search took me to various sites where you submitted your job spec and people would get back to you with a price. I was let down numerous times using this method.

I joined a forum where I found a person who not only wrote the scripts that I needed plus they came with the relevant PHP tutorial so I could easily follow how to install the scripts. Plus and this was a great revelation they were so easily affordable!

If you are looking for different script at affordable prices with easy to follow tutorials then what are you waiting for…

A 10 Step Recipe to Great Sales Copy (Part1)

Your sales copy is by far the most important ingredient of your website/blog. If you walk into a shop/store then you will be greeted by a salesperson that will be able to sell you on the benefits of any product. In the online world you have to get these benefits over to the potential customer by other means.

You have to achieve this using the words on your sales page to make them feel welcome and convey your message to them. It is absolutely paramount that you get your message across in a way that will entice them to take you up on your offer.

Here are the first 5 steps to a recipe that you should use to help you achieve your aim of turning a customer into an avid buyer.

1: Your Unique Selling Proposition (USP)  Simple and self explanatory what makes your product stand out from the crowd. For example; Give a cast iron guarantee that if the customer is not happy with the product then give them a refund. No arguments! Word will soon get around that your word/guarantee is sound. Believe me you do not want bad publicity as word will soon spread amongst the forums. Give this some serious though! Do not forget to emphasise your USP within your sales copy.

2: Speaks the Same Language as your target audience  Remember your niche/business will be full of people who speak in terms relevant to their needs.  For example; people who work in medicine will not talk the same way as say people who have an interest in fishing. Get to know inside out the way people express themselves within their niche/business.

3: A headline that makes them take notice. People who surf are only going to look at your site for a few seconds so the headline will either keep them on your page or they will hit the back button. So tell them how you can help them.

4: Proof and Social Proof. Firstly proof. You must show people that you know what you are talking about by proving that you are an expert in your chosen field.  This can be helped by social proof in that you have customer testimonials in your sales copy so that the potential customer can see you know your business and are trusted by other online marketers. It is a proven fact that customer testimonials can add as much as 200% to your bottom line.

5: Benefits, benefits, benefits!  In short you must leave the buyer in no doubt as to how he/she will benefits from purchasing your product. If this is not clear to them you will not make the sale. The difference between a feature and a benefit is: A feature will tell them what the product can do. A benefit is how your product will help them to overcome a problem or solution. It’s important that you make the distinction when your write your sales copy.

Make sure that the profiles that you gather are updated to aid in improving the relevance, timeliness and satisfaction from each deal you make.2.
